Typically it s the fuse. The fuse numbers are indicated on the fuse box. However in my 406 there is no diagram in the box so you either have to check them all or go find the manual also in my 406 there is another smaller fuse box inside the engine compartment just to the left of the battery in which i eventualy found the waster pump fuse.
